Brundall lies on the North bank of The River Yare, which provides excellent fishing as well as boat hire for exploring the waterways. If you want to leave the car at home for the day, you can take the train into Norwich or perhaps enjoy a day at the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, which is ten miles away. There are nature reserves nearby which offer good bird watching, and there are plenty of walks and cycle routes in the area. There are shops, and pubs which serve food, in the village.
